“You were trying to avoid politics.” “I did.” “Or at least you said you wanted to avoid politics. And what happened then? Have they reached out to you? Have you contacted them?” “Yes, they have contacted you. Both sides have come forward, and -” “You both say – so Trump has come forward too?” “Yes, we had a Zoom call with Trump’s team.” “Tell us about it.”‘ “I wasn’t there. I thought let me know how this goes. I wasn’t there. But they reached out, and I think the interesting thought for me was what I’ve built – I’ve been a very competitive person since my time as an athlete. I’m wondering: How can we further strengthen this (expletive)? And even though I didn’t really want to get into politics, I knew there was a larger conversation that directly impacted my audience, right? Joe Rogan has a conversation. He knows his audience. I know my audience. And it’s a bunch of women who are looking for someone to stand up for them every day. And I understand that people say, “Oh God, you’re going to focus on abortion all the time.” Yes, I do, because it’s not about abortion. It’s about women’s right to their bodies.
