Amber Heard Expecting Baby No. 2: She’s ‘Delighted’ (Exclusive)

Amber Heard is expanding her family.

The Aquaman The 38-year-old actress is expecting her second baby, PEOPLE can exclusively confirm. A spokeswoman for Heard said: “It is still quite early in the pregnancy so you will understand that we do not want to go into too much detail at this stage. Suffice to say, Amber is delighted for both herself and Oonagh Paige.”

Heard is already mother to 3½-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige, whom she gave birth to on April 8, 2021. When she revealed the news of Oonagh three months after her birth, Heard wrote on Instagram that she had “decided I wanted to have a child” four years ago and “wanted to do it on my own terms.”

“I now appreciate how radical it is for us women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destiny in this way,” she wrote at the time. “I hope we get to a point where not wanting a ring to have a crib becomes normal.”

Since then, Heard has posted regular updates about Oonagh and motherhood, including posts in which she describes herself as “just a mom and dad” as well as a “multitasking mom.”

Heard was previously married to Johnny Depp, with whom she was involved in a high-profile, controversial libel trial in Virginia in the summer of 2022.

After this legal battle, the actress moved abroad to live a quieter life in Madrid, Spain.

With the trial behind her, Heard said in an interview with NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie after the verdict in June 2022 that she was looking forward to focusing on her family: “I get to be a mom full time, you know? Where I don’t have to juggle lawyers.”

Sources told PEOPLE last year that the actress’ decision to move abroad after the “chaos” and attention of the trial was overwhelming.

“The process was beyond stressful and she wanted to start over,” a source said at the time, adding that she now “has new energy and is focused on things she loves.” Another source added: “She is independent and clever. She needs to heal.”

Later in 2023, director Conor Allyn, who worked with Heard on the thriller, shot In the firetold PEOPLE the star was “living her best life in Spain with her daughter and just found happiness that way.” The filmmaker added that Heard was “such a dedicated mother” and was “really good at making time for Oonagh.”
