“America’s Got Talent” comedian Kabir Singh dies at 39

Comedian Kabir Singh, semi-finalist of season 16 of America’s Got Talent, has died. He was 39 years old.

Singh died on Wednesday, December 4, his fiancée confirmed to PEOPLE, adding a broken heart emoji.

TMZ was the first to report it. According to the outlet, a toxicology test was conducted to determine how he died.

Insiders told TMZ that Singh had been battling health concerns and authorities suspect he died of natural causes. The comedian is said to have been in San Francisco at the time of his death.

PEOPLE reached out to the San Francisco Police Department for comment.

Singh’s friend Jeremy Curry mourned the loss on Facebook on Thursday, December 5. He shared a picture of the two smiling together and wrote that the late comedian “passed away peacefully in his sleep.”

Curry also told fans that Singh’s memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, December 14, in Hayward, California. He continued by asking for thoughts and prayers for Singh’s loved ones and his fiancée, ending his tribute with, “I love you, brother.”

Aside from appearing on America’s Got Talent in 2021, Singh has also appeared on Comedy Central. Family man and the BBC, according to his Instagram bio. His profile also noted that he was still performing stand-up in Manteca, California, as of November 2nd.
