“America’s Got Talent” comedian Kabir Singh dies at 39

Kabir “Kabeezy” Singh, a comedian who wowed America’s Got Talent judges and fans in 2021 with jokes about his mother and his Indian heritage, has reportedly died. He was 39.

TMZ reported through law enforcement sources that Singh, who made it to the semifinals of the NBC talent competition, was in the Bay Area when he died. A toxicology report is being prepared, the entertainment site added.

He is said to have had health problems.

Fellow comedian Jeremy Curry, whom Singh described as his “protégé,” also announced his death.

“He died peacefully in his sleep and this is the most devastating post I have ever posted,” Curry wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

Curry noted that Singh’s funeral is scheduled for Dec. 14 in Hayward, Calif., not far from Fremont, where the comedian said he was from in his “AGT” interview.

People magazine said it confirmed the comedian’s death through his fiancée, who was not named.

Singh’s Instagram promoted standup performances and featured clips of him well into November.

According to his profile, his credits include Comedy Central and “Family Guy.”

Singh aced his audition on “America’s Got Talent,” earning additional praise from judge and comedian Howie Mandel, who called him “relatable” and “appealing.”

“America will love you,” Mandel said.
