‘Angry’ Amorim has ‘completely blanked out’ a ‘dismal’ star, repeating Rashford’s ‘strong message’.

Ruben Amorim reportedly “completely blanked out” Bruno Fernandes after he was sent off during Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves.

Amorim has had a difficult start Man Utd Since replacing former head coach Erik ten Hag, he has lost five of his ten games as coach across all competitions.

The Red Devils hit a new low on Boxing Day when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to relegation candidates Wolves at Molineux. Matheus Cunha opened the show as he scored a goal and an assist, while Bruno Fernandes was sent off for two yellow cards.

Addressing Fernandes’ red card, Amorim insisted they had “tried” but the sending off was “really hard” for his team.

“Of course it’s a step backwards if you lose if we don’t win. The sending off was really hard. “The goal was similar against Tottenham,” said Amorim.

“Then we tried it. Even with one man less we tried and I think we were close to achieving something, but then Wolves scored the second goal. Then at the end we tried everything and it was 2-0. Things continue for us.

“It’s so hard to win games in this league with 11 men. It’s more difficult with 10 men. That’s what we need to focus on.”

“We need to improve relations, but we have some moments. We lack a bit of aggression, but we don’t train. We just play and try to find a better way to win games and that’s it.

“We can’t control the games like the others we lost. I think we always had control of the game, we didn’t always dominate, but we had control of some things, some set pieces. The sending off was really hard for us.”
