Arnold Schwarzenegger turns into Santa Claus in the first film in five years

Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting into the Christmas spirit again with his latest film.

The Terminator star transformed into Santa Claus for his latest film, The Man with the Bag.

Wearing a bright red coat, white hair and a matching beard, Schwarzenegger was spotted filming the film in New York City.

A fan video also showed Schwarzenegger getting out of his trailer in a white sweater and joking with onlookers, “I have to go back to bed,” before getting into a black SUV surrounded by security guards.

“The Man with the Bag” comes from Amazon MGM Studios and stars Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus, who enlists the help of a thief on his naughty list, played by “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson, after his magic bag is stolen, according to Entertainment Weekly .

During a break from filming, Schwarzenegger also shared a photo of himself and Ritchson on his Instagram.

“Santa Claus is coming to town!” wrote the 77-year-old in the caption.

He continued: “It’s amazing filming The Man with the Bag with @alanritchson. Our director @adamshankman is one of the funniest directors I’ve ever worked with, New York City is an amazing host, working with @amazonmgmstudios is a joy, and I can’t wait to share all this holiday cheer with each and every one of you split.”

The holiday action comedy will be Schwarzenegger’s first feature film in five years, following 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate. He also recently starred in Netflix’s FUBAR, where he also served as an executive producer.

Schwarzenegger has another Christmas classic on his resume with the 1996 film “Jingle All the Way,” in which he plays a father desperately trying to find the perfect gift for his son, the insanely popular action figure Turbo Man. He finds himself in competition with other buyers and another determined father, played by Sinbad, who are all after the same toy.
