Now can we please stop with the SEC’s bias?

The conference everyone loves to hate only has three teams represented in the College Football Playoff, and the sound you hear is that Alabama fans are still crying foul. Lobbying efforts by Shane Beamer of South Carolina and Lane Kiffin of Ole Miss also fell on deaf ears.

Some may think this will lead to a disinterested bowl appearance. No.

This is a set of really good matchups for SEC teams, with the only real problems (on paper) being Oklahoma-Navy and Vanderbilt-Georgia Tech. If the Hawkins-led Sooners and upstart Commodores come through, the SEC will be in charge.

The biggest story will be young upstarts DJ Lagway (Florida) and LaNorris Sellers (South Carolina), leading two of the hottest teams in the country to wins and, as Morgan mentioned at UF, fueling the offseason hype train.

Arkansas is the favorite in the Liberty Bowl against Texas Tech, Texas A&M faces USC in Las Vegas, LSU faces fast Baylor and Mizzou faces Iowa. The aforementioned Crimson Tide play Michigan and Ole Miss faces Duke without quarterback Maalik Murphy.

All of these matchups favor the SEC. I’m going with a sweep.
