“Baby Driver” actor Hudson Meek, 16, dies in fall from truck

Hudson Meek, a 16-year-old actor who starred in “Baby Driver” and the reboot of “MacGyver,” died Dec. 21 after falling from a moving vehicle.

AL.com reports that the actor was pronounced dead that night at UAB Hospital in Alabama.

His death was announced on his official Instagram in a statement that read: “We are heartbroken to inform you that Hudson Meek has gone home to be with Jesus this evening. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he achieved so much and significant things.” influenced everyone he met.

It continued: “Specific details about a celebration of Hudson’s life to be held on December 28, as well as how to contribute in lieu of flowers to a scholarship in Hudson’s memory at Vestavia Hills High School, will follow.”

The statement ended by saying, “Please pray for Hudson’s family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”

Meek made his television debut in the 2014 film “The Santa Con.” The following year, he appeared in his first film, The List.

He played the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s title character in the 2017 hit film Baby Driver. He appeared in 52 episodes of the series Badanamu Cadets (2020) and 52 additional episodes of Badanamu Stories (2020-2021).

He was last seen in “The School Duel.”
