Bayern Munich star is offered to FC Barcelona

A star of FC Bayern Munich’s first team has been offered to FC Barcelona by the players’ camp in order to sign him as a free agent next summer SPORTwhich quoted anonymous sources.

The Catalans were loosely linked to Joshua Kimmich ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

The midfielder was then Barca head coach Xavi Hernandez’s most sought-after replacement for the legendary Sergio Busquets, who decided to end his tenure at Camp Nou and join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami after captaining La Liga at the end of the year League title won previous term.

As it turned out, Barca’s financial constraints – the public discussion of which led to Xavi being sacked in the spring of 2024 – meant that the legendary No6 had to settle for an Oriol Romeu, who proved out of his depth and has since returned to Girona.

There have been rumors in recent weeks that Barca may be poaching Alphonso Davies from both Bayern and the Blaugrana’s eternal rivals Real Madrid The athlete reported the Canadian had reached a verbal agreement to join in mid-2025.

Davies and Kimmich’s contracts expire on June 30 next year. But while Barca could use figures who can play left-back or right-back like these players, they also need an explosive winger alongside Lamine Yamal or Raphinha.

Similarly, Sane could also leave for free on the same day that Davies and Kimmich can cut ties with Bayern.

Once again, SPORT says he has been offered to Barca, who are looking at him “out of the corner of their eye” amid interest from Premier League giants including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Sane would have to lower his wage demands to join Barca, which often struggles to stay on the right side of Financial Fair Play (FFP) boundaries and register new players or the new contracts of existing stars.

However, a big positive in the former Manchester City striker’s favor is his close relationship with Flick since 2020/2021, when they won the Bundesliga and other major trophies together such as the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
