Bayern’s individual criticism of the draw against BVB

A late goal saved FC Bayern a point against Borussia Dortmund. However, two Bayern stars didn’t have a good day.

The two coaches Vincent Kompany and Nuri Şahin hugged each other fairly and with a smile after the final whistle of a thrilling Bundesliga classic. Both the fans of Borussia Dortmund and the FC Bayern supporters who traveled with them celebrate in the stands. 1:1 (0:1) in the top game of the Bundesliga – both teams could apparently live with the point that Jamal Musiala saved Bayern late with a header. But there was no reason for great euphoria.

On Saturday evening, the Munich team had to cope with the fact that star striker Harry Kane had to be replaced in the first half due to an injury. Bayern’s next big clash is in just three days in the DFB Cup against Bayer Leverkusen. Thanks to Musiala’s goal in the 85th minute, Munich will start as the undefeated league leaders. With the draw, the Kompany team defended their ten-point lead over fifth-placed BVB.

Bayern had a very difficult time, especially in the first half. After a solid start, they increasingly lost control of the game. In the 27th minute it was Jamie Gittens who put the hosts in the lead with another dream goal, although Munich’s defense didn’t look good either.

In the second half, Bayern performed more and more like they had been able to admire in recent weeks. They controlled the action, restricted Dortmund in their own penalty area and earned the equalizer in the end. While goalscorer Musiala was also able to impress again, two Bayern stars in particular stood out negatively. You can read what these are in the photo show here or above.
