Missouri has found its next quarterback target in the portal.

Penn State’s backup quarterback Beau Pribula is scheduled to arrive in Mizzou on Tuesday for a visit and will remain in town on Wednesday.

Pribula’s brother posted an Instagram photo of him in front of Mizzou’s football facility on Tuesday night.

Pribula wore a red jersey in his first year at Penn State and has served as the team’s backup the last two years, but has been involved in multiple formations largely based on designed runs.

In 2023, Pribula completed 11 of 21 passes for 149 yards and four touchdowns while passing for 313 yards and six touchdowns on 53 attempts. He then completed 26 of 35 passes for 275 yards and five touchdowns with one interception this season while rushing 38 times for 242 yards and four touchdowns.

Pribula entered the portal on Sunday. Penn State’s starting quarterback Drew Allar announced Monday its intention to return next year.

Pribula was a three-star recruit in the class of 2022 from York, Pennsylvania, and has two years left to compete.

He was also tied to Iowa in the early days of his portal process.

According to PFF, Pribula earned a 91.4 rating as an offensive player and a 92.6 rating as a passer, while posting a 76.4 rating as a runner. But these numbers come from small sample sizes and specific situations, so take them with a grain of salt.
