Beautiful Monday weather to kick off the return to work in Houston

Forecast for Monday:

HOUSTON – Cool weather returned Monday morning with clear skies and many locations started the day with temperatures in the 30s and 40s.

Monday is going to be great! Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 60s and low humidity! The wind will be from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 miles per hour.

Forecast for Tuesday:

Tuesday stays mostly dry! At the moment there are showers and storms that are only possible after 10 p.m. and come from the southwest. If you have Giving Tuesday plans, you should be in clear throughout the afternoon, with highs in the mid 60s.

The rain returns in the middle of the week:

We are tracking a coastal low that will bring rain chances back into the forecast this week. A coastal low will initially move up the Texas Gulf Coast, bringing the risk of showers and storms late Tuesday evening. It looks like we won’t see any rain until after 10pm on Tuesday evening. However, things are looking quite chaotic on Wednesday as the low pressure moves up the coast, which will likely result in wet roads for most of the day.

The chance of rain really increases on Wednesday as low pressure moves into southeast Texas. This day looks chaotic, so plan on extra time on the roads.

On Thursday there will be more rain from this low pressure area, especially in the morning. Showers are likely, some embedded thunderstorms are possible.

We could see up to 2 inches of rain in southeast Texas over the next 7 days.
