Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy wear gold dresses at the premiere of “Mufasa” in LA

Beyoncé is back on the red carpet.

The music icon performed at the Los Angeles premiere of on December 9th Mufasa: The Lion King with her daughter (and co-star) Blue Ivy Carter, the couple shined in matching metallic dresses.

Beyoncé, 43, wore a strapless bodycon structured dress with circular gold plating throughout the design. Her dress featured a thigh-high slit and a plunging neckline in the middle of a sweetheart neckline.

The “Alien Superstar” singer’s blonde hair was full of curls as she posed next to 12-year-old Blue Ivy, who wore a strapless gold dress. Her all-over glossy look had the same black undertones as her mother’s patterned design.

Both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy had long, almond-shaped manicures, but while the “Alien Superstar” opted for a nude lip, the tween went daring with a red pout.

The mother-daughter duo was also joined on the carpet by Jay-Z, who wore a suit and tie. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, also stepped out and stood for photos with her family in a black off-the-shoulder top and black pants. She wore black gloves and gold accessories.

In the animated musical drama, which serves as a prequel to the 2019 adaptation of the Disney classic, The Lion KingBeyoncé reprises the role of Nala, while Blue Ivy makes her feature film debut as Kiara.

The family’s appearance comes a day after Jay-Z denied allegations that he raped a 13-year-old girl with Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000. In her lawsuit, the unidentified woman claims she was raped by Combs and Jay-Z while an as-yet-unnamed female celebrity was watching during a party at a New York apartment building after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The lawsuit was originally filed in October, but was then amended to include Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter).

“My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is of the age when their friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain people’s cruelty and greed,” he wrote.

Mufasa: The Lion King hits theaters on December 20th, while the soundtrack with seven new songs will be released on December 13th.

Beyoncé had never posed on a red carpet in 2024, but she attended a number of awards shows, most recently the glamor Women of the Year ceremony honoring her mother Knowles, as well as the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards , where she accepted the innovation award.
