Beyoncé performs “Cowboy Carter” hits during the Christmas NFL halftime show on Netflix

“Cowboy Carter” was released on March 29 and debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 Albums chart as well as the Top Country Albums chart. She is the first black woman to top the country albums chart.

“Cowboy Carter” received 11 Grammy nominations, including nods for the coveted Album of the Year and Record of the Year awards.

Billboard named Beyoncé the biggest pop star of the 21st century, closely followed by Taylor Swift. The two women both embarked on world tours and attended each other’s concert film premieres last year, but Billboard noted that Beyoncé “embodied greatness in every possible form” even before Swift’s own music debut in 2006.

The artist broke the record for most certified tracks by a female artist earlier this month, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
