BIDEN IS CONSIDERING COMMUTING FEDERAL DEATH ROW INTERMEDIATE SENTENCES: REPORT

ERIC SCHMITT: It’s two days before Christmas. I can only imagine the grief and shock these families are experiencing as they prepare for the holidays, remember the loved ones they lost, and now have to deal with this kind of insult.

And I think Joe Biden has seen some of that in his effort to become “Trump-proof.” For the next administration, whether it’s hiding workers or things at the border, this is simply overkill. And I think he cements his status as one of the worst presidents in American history, certainly alongside Woodrow Wilson. … It’s important, as a former prosecutor myself, I think it’s important to talk about the victims here. Lexis Roberts went on a camping trip with her mother and Thomas Sanders. On the way back, Thomas Sanders took her mother and executed her in cold blood in front of Lexis, then he slit Lexis Roberts’ throat and left her to die in the forest. This is someone for whom Joe Biden decided to commute his sentence on the eve of Christmas. That’s crazy. This is totally crazy. So the outrage is real and justified. And again, on his way out, Joe Biden is once again cementing his status as one of our worst presidents.

Biden is the first president to openly oppose the death penalty, and on his 2020 campaign website he stated that he would “work to pass legislation abolishing the death penalty at the federal level and create incentives for states to follow the federal government’s lead.” consequences”.
