Big twist in Allu Arjun arrest case: Victim’s husband says he will withdraw complaint: ‘Stampede is not his fault’

The drama surrounding Allu Arjun’s arrest in connection with the death of a fan at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule has taken another twist. The late woman’s husband Revathi has now said that he is ready to withdraw the case and not blame Allu Arjun for his wife’s attack or death. What the victim’s husband said

Speaking to reporters hours after Allu Arjun’s arrest in Hyderabad on Friday, Revathi’s husband Bhaskar said, “We went to Sandhya Theater that day only because my son wanted to watch the film. It is not Allu Arjun’s fault that he visited the theater.” On this day, I am ready to withdraw my case. I saw it on the news at the hospital. He (Arjun) has nothing to do with the mass panic.

Incidentally, Allu Arjun was arrested based on Bhaskar’s complaint. On Friday morning, Hyderabad Police officials reached Allu Arjun’s residence in Jubilee Hills and took him into custody. He was taken to the police station where he was to be questioned, police said. The actor was later taken to Osmania General Hospital for medical examination before being produced before the court.

Why was Allu Arjun arrested?

On the night of December 4, a large crowd of fans thronged the Sandhya Theater at the busy RTC Crossroads to catch a glimpse of the actor who had arrived there to watch his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. There was a mass panic in which a woman died while her son was hospitalized in critical condition.

Police said a case has been lodged against the actor, his security team and the theater management at Chikkadpally police station under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on the family’s complaint of the deceased was initiated. Allu Arjun has petitioned the Supreme Court to quash the FIR and the court will hear his plea later on Friday.
