Blake Shelton just recalled a “humiliating” incident with Vince Gill.

In a video taken from his interview with CMTthe 48-year-old country music star spoke about his wife, Gwen Stefani’s son Zuma, to whom he is a stepfather, who accidentally FaceTimed the Pure Prairie League musician.

“He thought he was calling his nanny, Vince, and he called Vince Gill,” Shelton revealed when explaining the mix-up.

“I was walking through the house and heard Vince Gill’s voice kind of laughing,” he said God’s country The singer explained, adding: “I looked and saw Zuma throwing the phone away.”

Shelton continued, “He said, ‘I don’t know. There was a man answering Vince’s phone.’ And I looked and he had called Vince Gill who was in Amsterdam – he FaceTimed him when he was in Amsterdam with the Eagles!”

The 67-year-old rock star reached out to Gill in a follow-up call and humorously shared the reason he answered the call in the first place.

“Man, I laughed,” Gill said to the Some beach hitmaker while on call, adding: “I thought you were drunk or something.”

While Zuma was initially afraid of Gill, who was an enigma to him at the time, he is now “the biggest Vince Gill fan in the world” and begs Shelton to call him again.

“But now, a few years later, Zuma is the biggest Vince Gill fan in the world. He’s like, ‘Can we FaceTime him again?!'” he shared.

However, Blake Shelton gave the final verdict that something like this will “actually never happen again,” adding, “That was humiliating for me!”
