Blake Shelton’s stepson Zuma accidentally FaceTimed Vince Gill on his cell phone

Blake Shelton may have to revoke his stepson’s FaceTime privileges after a “humiliating” accident.

In a clip from an interview with CMT shared on TikTok, the 48-year-old country singer recalled the time his wife Gwen Stefani’s 16-year-old son, Zuma, accidentally FaceTimed Vince Gill on his cell phone .

“He thought he was calling his nanny, Vince, and he called Vince Gill,” Shelton shared as he began to explain the mix-up.

“I was walking through the house and I heard Vince Gill’s voice kind of laughing,” Shelton recalled. “I looked and saw Zuma throwing the phone away.”

The proud stepfather-of-three continued: “He said, ‘I don’t know. There was a man answering Vince’s phone.’ And I looked and he had called Vince Gill who was in Amsterdam – he FaceTimed him when he was in Amsterdam with the Eagles!”

When Shelton reached out to Gill, 67, again, the musician shared the hilarious reason he took the call in the first place.

“Man, I laughed,” Gill told Shelton over the phone, adding, “I thought you were drunk or something.”

While Zuma was initially afraid of the mysterious man on the phone at the time of the incident, he is now “the biggest Vince Gill fan in the world” and is begging his stepfather to call him again.

“But now, a few years later, Zuma is the biggest Vince Gill fan in the world,” Shelton shared. “He asks, ‘Can we FaceTime him again?!'”

However, Shelton confirmed that this will “actually never happen again.” He added: “That was humiliating for me!”

In addition to Zuma, Shelton is stepfather to Stefani’s sons Kingston (18) and Apollo (10).
