Bo Nix thrilled NFL fans with a TD pass we hadn’t seen all year

If Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix’s 51-yard rush against the Cincinnati Bengals wasn’t impressive enough, it was also his longest completion of the season at 67 yards through the air, according to Next Gen Stats analyst Benjamin Solak ESPNNFL.

It was also reportedly the second longest completion in the NGS database, dating back to 2016, with the longest being a Hail Mary.

With about nine minutes left in the fourth quarter, Nix fired the moonball to Marvin Mims Jr., tying the game at 17-17 and keeping alive the Broncos’ hopes of punching their ticket to the playoffs. It was one of those passes that reminds you why Denver head coach Sean Payton was so excited about Nix in the first place.

Speaking of excited, NFL fans were just as thrilled by the improbable throw as (presumably) the Broncos’ sideline was.

Really beautiful. If Denver wins or draws, they will officially secure their spot in the playoffs. If they lose, they will have another chance at a spot against the Kansas City Chiefs on January 5th.
