San Jose State: The Spartans rank fifth in the FBS with over 325 passing yards per game, but have struggled to find balance, are third-worst nationally in rushing performance, and aren’t scoring as many points as they should with close They rank 73rd with 28 points per game.

Most football analytical models predict that the Spartans will survive against the Bulls.

This includes the College Football Power Index, a computer prediction model that uses data points from both teams to simulate games 20,000 times and pick winners.

According to the index, San Jose State is the narrow favorite in the matchup and is ahead in 53.5 percent of the most recent computer simulations of the game.

That leaves South Florida as the presumptive winner of the remaining 46.5 percent of Sims.
