Buffalo Bills projected an “incredibly dynamic” edge rusher

Looking ahead after the 2024 NFL season, the Buffalo Bills have a few things to focus on in the offseason. One of those needs will be to add pass rushing help.

Obviously, the team’s entire focus this season is on winning a Super Bowl. However, the front office has the difficult task of planning ahead and ensuring that the championship window remains open for years to come.

With Von Miller aging rapidly and no longer an impactful player, the Bills will need to target another threat to get to the quarterback.

With that in mind, an option was proposed that would give Buffalo top potential.

Jon Helmkamp from AtoZ Sports has suggested Buffalo could target Jordan Burch, the Oregon Ducks’ star pass rusher, in the 2025 NFL Draft. He called him an “incredibly dynamic pass rusher” and an “exciting” pass opposite Greg Rousseau.

Burch is one of the best pass rushers in the 2025 class. Adding him to the Bills’ defense would fit seamlessly and help improve the defense even further.

During the 2024 college football season, which has seen Oregon advance to the College Football Playoff so far, Burch has accumulated 30 tackles, 8.5 sacks, one forced fumble and five passes defensed. These numbers show how much Burch dominated.

At 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing nearly 300 pounds, Burch looks extremely intimidating on the sidelines. His strength and athleticism will give opposing offensive lines an edge.

This would be one of the best potential targets Buffalo could have in the 2025 draft. He’s the type of game-changing defensive presence the Bills have needed this season and could end up being an immediate starter.

Admittedly, there is still a lot of time until the 2025 NFL Draft. A lot can change. The draft regulation still needs to be set in stone.

However, if Burch is available and Buffalo still wants to improve its pass rush, he would be a prime target.
