CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Bulls guard Coby White is out for Monday night’s game against Brooklyn with a sprained left ankle.

White was injured in the first half of Friday night’s 138-129 loss to Boston. White, 24, played in Chicago’s first 21 games this season, averaging 18.3 points and 4.5 assists.

After the matchup with the Nets, the Bulls play in San Antonio on Thursday night before hosting Indiana on Friday.

“We don’t feel like it’s too serious, but he was certainly in a fair bit of pain yesterday and today,” coach Billy Donovan said. “So I think we probably have a better idea with this game if we have two days before we start this game. But we don’t feel like it’s anything too serious that will keep him out for long.”

Bulls forward Patrick Williams missed his seventh straight game because of inflammation in his left foot. But Donovan said Williams is picking up steam again.

“He feels really, really good,” Donovan said. “A lot of it is running and jumping and some of those things, and they’re just going to keep adding more. He did some of the shootaround today, just the shooting part of it, so he’s doing some of it.”

Williams, 23, was selected by Chicago with the No. 4 pick in the 2020 draft. He averaged 9.9 points and 5.0 rebounds in 15 games this season.
