Canada names squad for World Juniors selection camp

As the countdown to the 2025 World Junior Championships begins, Hockey Canada has named its roster for the Junior National Team Selection Camp, taking place December 10-13 at TD Place in Ottawa.

“We are pleased to announce the 32 players who have received an invitation to the selection camp in Ottawa and begin the journey toward our ultimate goal of winning a gold medal at the World Junior Championships on home ice,” said Chief Scout Al Murray in a statement. “This is a talented group of young players determined to represent Canada with pride over the holidays and we expect a hard-fought camp with several difficult decisions in determining our final roster.”

Seven players return from last year’s team, including Oliver Bonk, Easton Cowan, Tanner Molendyk, Scott Ratzlaff, Carson Rehkopf, Matthew Wood and Brayden Yager.

Selection camp includes two games against the U Sports All-Stars.

As soon as the squad has been determined, a four-day training camp will take place in Petawawa, Ontario, starting on August 15, 2018.

The Canadians start their World Juniors schedule on Boxing Day against Finland.
