VANCOUVER, British Columbia – – Elias Pettersson scored two goals 44 seconds apart in the second half, ending a seven-game losing streak. The Vancouver Canucks defeated the San Jose Sharks 4-3 on Monday evening.

Kiefer Sherwood and Brock Boeser also scored for the Canucks, who ended a three-game winless streak. Quinn Hughes had two assists. Thatcher Demko stopped 26 shots.

Pettersson left the game at the start of the third period and did not return.

William Eklund with a two-man power play and Cody Ceci scored for San Jose, which is winless in five games (0-4-1). Luke Kunin also scored with 4.7 seconds left.
