Captain America: Brave New World won't just repeat Sam Wilson's MCU Phase 4 story

Anthony Mackie has spoken out about how the story of Captain America: Brave New World will avoid repeating that of his MCU Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie has now appeared in eight projects as Sam Wilson and has evolved over the last decade from Steve Rogers’ sidekick, the Falcon, to the MCU’s new Captain America. Mackie will next appear in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World in February 2025, marking his big screen debut as Captain America after becoming the Star-Spangled Man in Phase 4.

It makes sense that Marvel Studios would want to avoid repeating the same storyline The Falcon and the Winter Soldier In Captain America: Brave New World. Instead of focusing so much on Sam Wilson’s race, it seems Brave new world will simply call this development completely normal for the Captain America mantle. Captain America is now black, and accepting that gives the film the opportunity to explore an honest Captain America storyin which Sam Wilson goes up against the likes of the Leader, Sidewinder, and the Red Hulk instead of an unnecessary, racially motivated villain.
