Celtics Injury Report: Kristaps Porzingis is again listed for the Pacers game

The Celtics want to beat the Pacers again and may get healthy again. Jrue Holiday (right shoulder impingement) and Kristaps Porzingis (left ankle sprain) are questionable on the injury report ahead of Sunday’s 6 p.m. game against the Pacers. Two-way forward Anton Watson is also out with a left adductor muscle strain.

Both Holiday and Porzingis missed Friday’s blowout win over the Pacers at TD Garden. Holiday has sat out the last two games because of the shoulder problem. Porzingis missed the game after suffering an ankle injury in the first half against the 76ers on Christmas Day, forcing him to sit out the entire second half.

The big question mark is Porzingis, who has struggled with bumps and bruises since returning to the court in late November from rehab surgery. The fact that Porzingis has been questionable in the last two games seems like a good sign and not an automatic omission on the injury report. The team will also be cautious with their talented big man considering how injury-prone he has been throughout his career.

The Celtics dominated the Pacers on Friday despite missing two of their starters. Jaylen Brown was at his best, scoring a season-high 44 points, while Payton Pritchard flirted with his second-ever triple-double. The C’s ended a two-game losing streak with their 37-point win on Friday.

The Pacers were also shorthanded on Friday, missing some rotation players and playing for the second game in a row. So they’ll be looking to bounce back for Sunday’s game as the Pacers have given Boston some problems in the past. The Pacers will have Andrew Nembhard (knee) back after he sat out last game, while Obi Toppin (ankle) is questionable.
