Our calm weather pattern continues Saturday with above normal temperatures. Saturday’s daytime high will be in the low 60s, about fifteen degrees above our average high of 45 degrees. It will be dry in the highlands with daily maximum temperatures around 40°C. Temperatures will be a little cooler on Sunday, with daytime highs reaching the mid 50s. Expect another mild and dry day across the state. Clouds will increase Sunday afternoon as a cold front pushes through, bringing gusty northwest winds in its wake. It is expected to snow in the mountains until late at night from Sunday to Monday, with snow possible in the metropolitan area on Monday. Expect snowfall amounts to be fairly light, with less than 6 inches of snow in the mountains, with a trace of up to 3 inches possible in the Denver metro area. Along the I-25 corridor, the best chance of snow will be west of I-25 and the southern suburbs, with up to 3 inches of snow accumulation possible. North of Denver, snow will be very light with less than an inch of snow accumulation.

On Monday and Tuesday the daily maximum temperatures will be significantly colder, with highs around 30°C. By Wednesday, temperatures will be back in the 40s and mild weather is expected to return with highs in the 50s by the end of the week.
