CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – After a foggy morning, fog will continue this afternoon.

Dense morning fog and afternoon fog

Visibility will gradually improve through this afternoon, although clouds and fog will remain, with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. There may be a chance of a scattered shower or two overnight as a weak front moves through the area with lows in the low to mid 30s.

A few chances of rain and snow and dropping temperatures

While a shower or two cannot be ruled out on Monday, most of the area will remain dry with fog in the morning and partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures on Monday will be around 40°C. Cooler temperatures return from Tuesday with temperatures only reaching the upper 30s. Highs will gradually decrease throughout the week, cooling to the upper 20s to lower 30s during the second half of the week. The only chance of precipitation predicted in the forecast after Monday is a slight chance of some rain and snow showers on Tuesday night.
