Conor McGregor says he ‘agreed’ to boxing match against Logan Paul.

Conor McGregor is preparing to return to boxing.

The outspoken Irishman and former UFC two-weight champion said Tuesday that he intends to postpone his return to MMA and has agreed to fight Logan Paul in a boxing contest in India.

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was originally scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, but pulled out due to a foot injury.

“The rumors of a fight with (Ilia) Topurio are false,” McGregor said in a post on X on Tuesday.

“I have made tentative arrangements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing competition in India. I agreed. Then I will aim for my return to the octagon.”

Like his brother Jake, Paul is also a YouTuber turned professional fighter. Jake defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson last month.

He competed in four boxing matches, including a draw and loss against KSI, a draw against Floyd Mayweather, and a win against MMA fighter Dillon Danis.

McGregor has only taken part in a professional boxing match once – in the highly publicized fight against Mayweather in 2017. which ended in a 10th round TKO loss.

McGregor’s announcement comes less than a month after a civil court jury in Ireland ruled that he must pay almost €250,000 to a woman who said he “brutally raped and abused” her in a Dublin hotel penthouse in December 2018.

McGregor said she made up the allegations after the two had consensual sex.
