Cooper Kupp might have shattered your dreams of a fantasy football championship

Cooper Kupp might have shattered your dreams of a fantasy football championship

The 2024 Fantasy Football Playoffs began Thursday night as the Rams took on the 49ers in a high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, due to the incredible lack of statistical success, the fantasy playoffs may have already done so ended also for countless fans.

More precisely, the founders of Cooper Kupp now face an uphill battle.

The Rams’ superstar wide receiver, who was used in almost 100 percent of leagues on all platforms, did not score a single point in the game. Not one. It’s only the 10th time in his NFL career that he’s been under five points, and it’s been the worst time for managers.

However, Kupp wasn’t the only player with poor statistics.

The contest did not include a single touchdown as scoring was limited to six field goals. Both quarterbacks, Matthew Stafford and Brock Purdy, combined To score 12.2 points. Entering the night, Stafford was averaging 14.7 points while Purdy was averaging 17.6 points.

Stafford’s 8.2 points are the seventh least He scored one goal in 55 regular season games for the Rams. As for Purdy, his four-point stinker is his third-worst total in his 34 starts with the 49ers. The two kickers, Joshua Karty and Jake Moody, outplayed both quarterbacks.

Nor were they the only ones who scored fewer points than these two overachievers.

Karty’s 13 fantasy points were more than Isaac Guerendo (11.5), George Kittle (10.1), Jauan Jennings (5.1) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (4.9). Karty nearly matched the fantasy stats of Kyren Williams (13.4), who was averaging more than 17 points per game earlier in the week.

Puka Nacua was the only player who did not fall short of expectations. He scored 17.8 points on seven catches and totaled 108 yards. But overall, the lack of statistical success from almost all starting fantasy players in this competition (no more than Kupp’s zero points) has left many fantasy managers in a deep hole heading into the weekend.
