Costco may be making a controversial change to its food court soda

Longtime Costco lovers know that the massive warehouse supermarket offers more than just great deals. The food court has long been a place where shoppers can find a temporary respite from the shopping madness with a good meal. Costco’s $1.50 hot dogs are the most famous on the menu, and the chain sells over 200 million in a single year. Whole pizzas are also popular with fans, as are the crunchy, sweet churros that finally made a comeback just a few months ago. Long story short, you can’t go wrong at the Costco Food Court.

But rumors have been circulating lately that point to a big change in an important part of the court. We are here to reveal all the important details.

What are the rumors?

Sources like Instagram user @costcodeals say that Costco will be swapping out all of its Pepsi products for Coca-Cola products at the start of the new year.

For those who have done it, this is quite an oddity participated in the debate between Coke and Pepsi. However, it turns out that This conversation at Costco isn’t new. Some may remember a time when Coke was available Was Costco’s favorite brand. Before 2013, Costco sold only Coke products in the food court and then switched to Pepsi to keep costs down (and to keep the hot dog combo cheap). Coke supporters were understandably upset about the change.

I’m of two minds – Wild Cherry Pepsi is one of my all-time favorite drinks, but sometimes nothing beats a cold cola on a hot day. If this rumor is true, Costco will slowly begin rolling out Coca-Cola products to stores nationwide starting in early 2025.

When will we know for sure?

Although these rumors are not confirmed yet, we will likely see confirmation soon. The original switch from Coca-Cola to Pepsi took a few years in all 800 stores across the country, and it is very likely that the switch from Pepsi to Coca-Cola will take about the same amount of time. I’m hoping my Costco store gets changed first – fingers crossed!
