Cowboys open MW tonight against Aggies

The Mountain West Conference season gets off to an early start tonight for the Wyoming Cowboys when they play at Utah State. Wyoming brings a season record of 5-2 tonight against the 7-0 Aggies, who recently won the Preseason NIT Tournament. In the preseason media poll, Wyoming was picked to finish ninth in the eleven-team league, while Utah State was ranked sixth but received one first-place vote.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on WyoRadio’s 99.7 JACK-FM and 99KSIT.com beginning at 6:30 p.m., with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m

Wyoming enters the contest shooting 45 percent from the field and 29 percent from behind the three-point line. Utah State is one of the best offensive teams in the country, averaging nearly 84 points per game and shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from three-point range.

Wyoming will remain on the road with a non-conference game at South Dakota on Tuesday, December 10th.

The 4-4 Cowgirls will play at Missouri State this Friday. The game will be broadcast on WyoRadio’s 1360 KRKK and 1360KRKK.com at 5:30 p.m., tipoff is at 6 p.m
