Cowboys vs. Eagles Inactives | December 29, 2024

The Eagles host the Cowboys today at Lincoln Financial Field in their second Kelly Green game and will be without Jalen Hurts (concussion). Kenny Pickett will start his first game as an Eagle, with Tanner McKee at backup and Ian Book (signed to the active roster on Saturday) as the emergency third quarterback.

“I am very excited. It’s a great opportunity. “I’ve been working hard to stay ready and I felt like I was in a good place with my preparation last game and now that I’ve had a week of training I’ll feel even better.” I’m going into the Stadium. I just want to get the win,” Pickett said Thursday.

Linebacker Nakobe Dean, who was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report with an abdominal injury, is out for today’s game. Oren Burks starts for Dean. Burks played six snaps last week when Dean missed a few games due to injury.

The Eagles also placed wide receiver/punt returner Britain Covey on injured reserve as he battles a neck injury.

Running back Will Shipley left against Washington due to a concussion.

The Eagles activated defensive end Bryce Huff (wrist) from injured reserve on Saturday after he missed the last five games following wrist surgery. Huff has 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four QB hits, three tackles for a loss and a forced fumble in 10 games this season.

Huff will rejoin Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith and rookie Jalyx Hunt.

Philadelphia has named running back Tyrion Davis-Price and linebacker Dallas Gant from the practice squad for today’s game. Davis-Price will make his Eagles debut while Gant will make his NFL debut.

Cowboys without a star receiver

The Cowboys ruled out wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) for the remainder of the season after being eliminated from the playoffs in Week 16.

The Cowboys also placed cornerback Amani Oruwariye (foot) on injured reserve and signed offensive lineman Asim Richards to the active roster. Richards was on injured reserve with an ankle injury and could see time at left tackle. Cornerback Trevon Diggs has been on injured reserve since December 21st due to a knee injury.
