Des Moines Airport runways impacted by icy weather

Officials say the two runways have been closed since 1 a.m

Des Moines International Airport officials confirmed both runways have been closed since 1 a.m. Saturday as crews continue to de-ice the ground. Pictures taken by a person at the airport showed passengers stranded in the terminal. Due to this weather-related delay, many flights from DSM are delayed early in the morning. DES MOINES, Iowa –

Des Moines International Airport officials confirmed that both runways had been closed since 1 a.m. Saturday as crews continued to de-ice the ground.

Pictures taken by a person at the airport showed passengers stranded in the terminal.

Due to this weather-related delay, many flights from DSM are delayed early in the morning.
