Did Matt Rife go under the knife? Here’s what his new book says

Matt Rife opens up about plastic surgery rumors in his new book.

The 29-year-old comedian emphasizes in his memoirs: Your mother will love me, that his changed appearance is the result of late puberty rather than surgery. His book was published by Gallery Books on December 3rd. According to the publisher, it is “one part memoir, one part comedy special,” and one part “first date.”

“Over the course of a few months, I went from looking like a 13-year-old to looking, you know, my actual age. Like a real grown man. My face became wider, my features became more prominent, I grew a few centimeters taller,” Rife writes.

He says his “bizarrely stunted journey through puberty” became the basis for about “a million internet conspiracies about all these elaborate plastic surgeries that I somehow had the time and money for.”

The Wild ‘N Out Star then uses his trademark humor to address doctors and surgeons who had made claims about his altered appearance.

“To put it bluntly – if you’re a real doctor who actually announces a guaranteed diagnosis on Tik-Tok about a guy you’ve never met before, let alone treated, then how the hell do you not lose your license?”

Rife’s book also highlights the “appalling lack of common sense” of these medical professionals.

“Can the medical board please just issue an official certificate asking you to live a life?” “Something that helps these people get their priorities straight because they desperately need it,” he adds in the memoir.

The book, which details Rife’s upbringing in Ohio and how he rose to comedy fame before the age of 30, also reveals his belief that “good-looking people don’t always have it easy.”

“If anything, it made it even more difficult for me to be a comedian,” he writes.

“It turns out that pretty people get messed up too. Who knew? I’m in therapy. I had several anxiety attacks. I struggle with clinical depression and have complicated feelings about life, my mother and loneliness.”
