Dominion Energy donates 0,000 to South Carolina nonprofits

The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $800,000 in grants to nonprofits across South Carolina, according to a news release Wednesday.

“Our local nonprofits are always helping our neighbors and making our beautiful Palmetto State an even better place to be proud to call home. That’s why it’s always our pleasure to support them in any way we can,” Keller Kissam, president of Dominion Energy South Carolina, said in a prepared statement.

Dominion Energy says the grant will be used to fund human needs, environmental protection, education and community vitality.

Recipients of this grant include Family of Promise, a group that provides eviction prevention and housing diversion for families, Homeless No More, a group that provides housing and supportive services to at-risk and homeless families, and Lowcountry Land Trust Inc., the has provided a public green space in Charleston.

This grant is part of a larger project that spans six states and has donated more than $2.4 million.

Applications for the next round of funding will be accepted from January 13th to February 24th, 2025.
