Donald Trump ally Laura Loomer says Elon Musk is keeping her “silenced.”

The MAGA world is fighting and things are getting ugly. While Donald Trump supporters were upset with Elon Musk for arguing that Big Tech needed to hire foreign workers, Musk’s X platform apparently removed Trump ally Laura Loomer’s blue checkmark and disabled her subscriptions.

Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who are expected to jointly lead President-elect Donald Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), have both angered conservatives in recent days by claiming that Silicon Valley companies rely on foreign workers, because there aren’t enough Americans to do the jobs. Musk wrote

While Musk and Ramaswamy regularly demonize migrants attempting to cross the U.S. border, they both appear to support the H-1B visa program, which companies use to recruit highly skilled foreign workers. On both the left and the right, these visas are seen as a way for companies to import cheaper, exploitable labor who must keep their jobs if they want to stay in the country.

Loomer was far from the only conservative outraged by Musk’s comments, and she angrily attacked him on X with insults that rivaled Trump’s. “You bought into MAGA five minutes ago after Trump almost got his head blown off in Butler,” Loomer wrote.

After Musk explained that legal immigration was necessary to attract “the top ~0.1% of engineering talent,” Loomer noted that his electric car company Tesla had used H-1B visas to recruit some workers, which number about 70,000 U.S. workers -earn dollars per year. “No one in America today can afford to live on $70,000 a year. Stop crying about falling birth rates if you want us to live like a bunch of welfare queens,” she wrote.

Loomer separately referred to Musk as “a Level 5 supporter who stayed in Mar a Lago for a long time to become Trump’s supporting figure and the leader for any of his big tech accomplices who were able to sneak into Mar a Lago,” added Loomer added.

Liberals who don’t like Musk were surprised to find themselves siding with Loomer. “Okay, I agree with Laura Loomer and Ann Coulter. I just need to lie down for a moment,” wrote one X user. (Coulter posted Thursday: “American workers can leave a company. Imported H1B workers can’t.”)

Loomer wrote Thursday that her account verification has been revoked, her subscriptions have been deactivated and she no longer has X Premium, even though she paid for it. X Premium allows users to monetize their accounts.

“My voice has been suppressed and my reach as a journalist has been limited because I disagree with the owner of X on an original Trump policy,” Loomer says Rolling Stone. “We either have free speech for everyone or free speech for no one.”

Gavin Wax, president of the New York Young Republican Club; Owen Shroyer of InfoWars; and Ryan Fournier, president of Students for Trump, also appear to have lost their verification badges.

Loomer, a far-right conspiracy theorist, is a controversial figure in Trumpland. Her presence near Trump this fall drew negative headlines, particularly when Loomer, a 9/11 truther, accompanied Trump to a 9/11 memorial service. Trump called her a “free spirit” at a press conference, but Loomer soon stopped traveling with Trump.

Loomer was banned from Twitter back in 2018, before Musk bought the platform and renamed it X for calling progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar “anti-Jewish” and “pro-Sharia.” She then handcuffed herself to the front door of Twitter’s New York office building for several hours.

“I should be allowed to express my opinion without being restricted,” says Loomer Rolling Stone. “These are Trump policies and Big Tech cannot simply silence every Trump supporter who speaks out about the conflicts of Big Tech’s infiltration of the Trump administration.”
