Drama is brewing for the Philadelphia Eagles before the Pittsburgh Steelers game

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14, beginning a three-game stretch that will span 11 days and could help them clinch the AFC North and their playoff spot. But before the Black and Gold even make the trip to face their in-state opponent, there are plenty of distractions brewing in Philadelphia.

After the Eagles narrowly escaped the Carolina Panthers in Week 13, wide receiver AJ Brown was asked what needs to improve for Philadelphia. He responded, “Pass,” which was interpreted as quarterback Jalen Hurts needing to play better.

Hurts hasn’t rushed for more than 200 yards in three games, including a 108-yard performance against Carolina.

This continued when defensive end Brandon Graham stated that Hurts and Brown were not friends at the time due to the issues.

“The person who complains needs to be held accountable,” Graham said. “I don’t know the whole story, but I know (Hurts) is trying and (Brown) could be a little better in the way he reacts to things. They were friends before, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens. But it’s the business side where we have to make sure the personal doesn’t get in the way of the business.

He later apologized for those comments in an ESPN interview.

“I made a mistake and assumed it was something that wasn’t the case,” Graham said. “I just want to win so much that I don’t want to just use the media when we need to talk about something and we can solve the problem ourselves. I haven’t done anything good, so this is my disadvantage.” .”

All of this has even led to former superstars clashing on social media. After former quarterback Donovan McNabb expressed his opinion on the situation, saying he didn’t want Brown talking to the media like that, Terrell Owens responded with his own thoughts – about McNabb.

“Well, that’s interesting coming from you. Not the way I interpreted it, but the funny thing is, I agree with you that if you have a problem with someone you should contact them and not the media, but here’s what I “I had a problem with you, but it’s well known that you had a problem with me, so maybe you should have taken your advice here… And we might have won Super 39, but that’s another story for another.” another day,” Owens wrote.

With a win over the Eagles, the Steelers can secure a spot in the playoffs in 2024. This would be their first win there since 1965. It’s not guaranteed, and despite the drama, it will be their biggest challenge yet. But it’s hard to imagine the Eagles focusing solely on Pittsburgh given all the off-the-field issues.
