John has spoken openly about his challenges with his vision in recent months.

In September, he revealed on Instagram that he was suffering from a severe eye infection that had resulted in “limited vision” in one of his eyes.

“I am healing, but it is an extremely slow process and it will take some time before the affected eye can see again,” John said.
