Elton John revealed on Sunday that he still cannot see months after suffering a serious eye infection.

The singer-songwriter shared his health update while attending his opening night new musical“The Devil Wears Prada.”

Speaking on stage during the gala in London, which was also a fundraiser for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, he told the audience that he had difficulty seeing the piece for which he wrote the score.

“I wasn’t able to come to a lot of the previews because, as you know, I lost my eyesight,” he shared.

“So it’s hard for me to watch it, but I love hearing it and, boy, it sounded good tonight,” he added.

The musical “The Devil Wears Prada” is a new stage play premiering in London and based on the cult film and best-selling novel of the same name.

In the film, Meryl Streep played the fearsome fashion editor Miranda Priestly alongside Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt.
