Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer insists nothing has changed for the Nerazzurri after last night’s UEFA Champions League defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.

Speaking to UEFA.com about FCInterNewsthe former FC Bayern Munich goalkeeper claimed that the Italians were still firmly in control of their qualification fate.

The reigning Scudetto champions were just minutes away from maintaining their unbeaten record in the reformatted league stage.

However, Nordi Mukiele caused late heartbreak Simone Inzaghi and his charges, who fueled Leverkusen to a 1-0 win.

Mukiele’s goal also prevented Sommer’s historic achievement.

In fact, the Swiss star would have been the first goalkeeper in Champions League history to start the new season with six shutouts in a row.

Despite the goal, Sommer had another fantastic evening and thwarted every Leverkusen attempt up to that moment.

Inter have to lick their wounds and will try to get back on their feet against Lazio. Next Monday there will be a heavyweight duel in Serie A.
