Come on, why not be crazy optimistic? We’ve had some pain in the Emirates recently, but only after moments of joy. Maybe this time we can really enjoy silly scenes of euphoria as Garnacho gives us a famous victory. I can imagine our electric Argentine will have an impact off the bench in this game. Amad has been in such outstanding form that he should start and his ability to hold the ball could be helpful if Arsenal build pressure. Of course, they will do so as an in-form home team, so this escape will be valuable, and should United win, Amad will certainly have a big impact. But as someone who is fearless, relentless and arrives late to take the game to the opponent, Garnacho is your man. So I’m going for a memorable 3-2 United win with Garnacho scoring the winner, just like he thought he would last season, except the VAR rules that out. Sometimes football is magical… maybe tonight is one of those moments.

Like many United fans, I have loved Amad’s performances over the last few weeks and in particular his willingness to fight for the team by playing in a new position. But it’s his persistent, infectious pressing that really caught the eye and led directly to goals against PAOK and Everton. With five goal involvements in his last five appearances – two goals, three assists – Amad is arguably the first name on our teamsheet at the moment and I predict a big night for him at the Emirates Stadium, where he has led to stunning runs to score some classic United goals over the years. I feel good about the game too. My prediction is: Arsenal 0 United 1, with our in-form Ivorian as man of the match.
