Fans in disbelief over facts about Brenda Lee’s Christmas hit – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Brenda, who was just a teenager when she recorded the track, was known as “Little Miss Dynamite” because of her powerful vocal ability and diminutive 5’10” stature. Just last year, Rolling Stone named her one of the greatest singers of all time.

The song was featured in John Hugh’s 1990 Christmas film Home Alone, which breathed new life into the jingle and cemented its status as a holiday classic.

Fans were in disbelief that Brenda was so young when she first recorded the song, with many pointing out how mature her voice sounded. One fan wrote, “My deepest forgiveness,” while another commented, “Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.”

Others shared the shock of discovering a teenager was singing one of the greatest Christmas carols of all time. Someone confessed: “I WAS YEARS OLD TODAY!!,” while another user added: “She what now???” One TikToker asked in the comments: “That’s not someone’s grandma?”

DON’T MISS:

Brenda became Billboard’s top female artist of the decade in the 1960s, selling more than 100 million records worldwide.

She has a Grammy Award, four NARM Awards, three NME Awards and five Edison Awards.

She was also the first woman inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Just last year, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” surpassed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You” on the Billboard charts, reaching No. 1 for the first time. Mariah sent Brenda flowers for the milestone with a card that read, ” Dearest Ms. Brenda, congratulations on your historic No. 1. Merry Christmas. Love, Mariah.”
