The Guatemalan migrant accused of setting a sleeping F train passenger on fire and then watching her burn sneaked into the country illegally after her deportation — and then remained in New York’s shelter system, multiple sources confirm to The Post .

He first entered the United States in 2018 through the Arizona border, where he was arrested and deported just days later for illegal entry, multiple sources told The Post.

He then re-entered the USA at a later, unknown date, sneaking past the US authorities. It is unknown how long he has been in New York.

However, law enforcement sources said he was housed in several taxpayer-funded migrant shelters in the city.

When he was issued a transit ticket in 2023, he gave the address of a shelter on Randall’s Island, the sources said.

According to sources, the suspect appears to have no other criminal record.
