Fitbit app not available? Outages reported

After weeks of complaints about the current state of the app, there was an increase in Fitbit outage reports.

According to DownDetector, users are reporting issues with the Fitbit platform.

I can confirm that it is not possible to log in using Google credentials as the app is currently displaying an error message.

There is no longer a specific place to go for updates on Fitbit’s status, as the brand’s social media accounts and websites have been consolidated into Google’s.

The FitbitSupport X account’s last post was published in November 2023, just months after the social network rebranded from its original Twitter branding.

While there are several reasons why an app or online platform may be inaccessible, these aren’t the only issues Fitbit users have faced in recent weeks.

There have been complaints that the Fitbit app cuts off the top parts of the interface, making certain controls and information inaccessible.

A Fitbit user posted an update on the Fitbit community forum on November 30 about the situation, which has reportedly been going on for weeks.

“We are now entering Week 4. Still no update, still no comments from Google, not even from the moderators,” Phoenix494 wrote.
