A dense fog warning is in effect for southeast Texas from Friday evening through Saturday morning. Be aware of limited visibility when setting out on Saturday morning.

Another cold front will bring rain and thunderstorms. The greatest threat of severe storms is expected to be east of Louisiana.

The storms begin selectively ahead of the cold front. There could be some early storms along the coast around sunrise, but so far these don’t look like the severe storms we saw on Thursday.

The front arrives Saturday evening, producing a line of isolated storms. The chance of seeing one or two severe storms is 2 in 5, but stay vigilant no matter where you are in Southeast Texas.

Storms will move eastward by 5 p.m. Saturday, with high pressure building in Sunday.

We will continue to see temperatures in the 70s and finally start to dry out towards the end of the weekend. Things are looking good for plans for New Year’s Eve on Tuesday evening. NYD, we start 2025 in the 60s with lows in the 40s.
