Follow the passing snow as it brings in arctic air

THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING. And we talked about how we had mild temperatures yesterday. AND TODAY WE SEE SNOWWINGS. AND TOMORROW WE’RE TALKING ABOUT WIND COOLING. YES DECEMBER. YES. WE LIVE IN CINCINNATI. It’s December. WE WILL GET SNOW. WE GET COLD. And the good news is that it really looks like it. Let’s take another look at the reporters live. VALID. VALID POINT. THE SNOWFLAKES MELT ON CONTACT. So it’s the kind of snow I like. I like being able to see it and then have it not interfere with the commute. So let’s take a look at what’s on the radar here. WE HAVE A SERIES OF SNOW SHOWERS BASICALLY DRAPED RIGHT ALONG I-75 FROM SPRINGBORO JUST NEAR THE 7175 SPLIT AND NOW BRINGING SNOW SHOWERS RIGHT THROUGH THE HEART OF THE 275 LOOP. AND AGAIN, SNOWFLAKES CAN DOWN WITH A PRETTY GOOD FLAW, BUT EACH MELTS ON CONTACT, THANKS TO TEMPERATURES IN THE 50’S. We’ve had the last few days. SO YOU CAN NOW SEE THE BACK OF THESE SNOW BLOWERS PASSING THROUGH THE WEST SIDE AND DRYING OUT IN HARRISON THE LAST FLAKES FLYING NEAR LAWRENCEBURG. As we zoom in here into BUTLER and WARREN Counties you can see that Hamilton is almost finished, the early morning snow line is falling quite well in Lebanon and will arrive again in Waynesville tomorrow. As we get a little closer to the 275 loops now flying in Loveland and MILFORD, give yourself about an hour. AND THE FOCUS OF THIS LINE IS BASICALLY GOING TO BE ON SITTING ACROSS CENTRAL CLERMONT COUNTY AND MOVING SOMETHING EAST AT 7 A.M. AND 8:00 A.M. RIGHT AWAY FROM HERE, SOME OF IT EVEN FURTHER FROM NEWTOWN TO Anderson there are heavy snow showers everywhere ALEXANDRIA. So let’s take a look at the forecast for the next 48 hours, because it’s winter again this morning. SNOW SHOWERS BEFORE 8 AM: THIS EVENING THE ROADS WILL BE WET ONLY, A SECONDARY SNOW SHOWERS. They are scattered. NOT EVERYONE SEE IT. BUT IN PLACES WHERE YOU SEE IT, YOU MAY PICK UP A DUST ON THE GRASS AND ON THE BACK DECK, ON GUARD BRIDGES, OVERPASSES, THE Elevated ROADS AND SOME SLIPPERY PLACES. TONIGHT AFTER SUNSET TOMORROW WE ARE IN THE COLD. We are dealing with cold and breezy conditions. ON THURSDAY THE WIND WILL BE COOLING, ABOUT BETWEEN TWO AND FIVE DEGREES TO START THE DAY, IT WILL FEEL LIKE 10 PM IN THE AFTERNOON, SO THE FUTURE OCCUPATION WILL HAVE A WELL IN HOLD OF OUR EARLY MORNING SNOW SHOWERS. Watch it move east. You’re basically sitting here at 7 a.m. on your way from Wilmington to Batavia and at 8 a.m. you’re on your way out of the area. So in the second half of the morning commute it heads east, and at the end of the morning rush it’s gone. WE’LL TAKE A BREAK AT LUNCH, BUT IT’S GETTING COOL. And then those snow showers try to come back in. A few flakes fly between about three and five o’clock, but then pick up at six, seven, eight and nine o’clock. Scattered snow showers. ANY of these slightly more severe outbreaks could briefly reduce visibility. AND AGAIN WE’RE GOING TO LOOK AT SOME OF THESE COLDER SURFACES TO RECOVER THEM. Maybe dust off in spots. IT WILL NOT BE EVERYWHERE, BUT IN SOME COMMUNITIES YOU MAY WAKE UP TO SOME DUST ON THURSDAY MORNING AND YOU WILL DEFINITELY NOTICE A TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE THIS MORNING. SNOWFLAKES WILL FLY THROUGH 8:37 THIS AFTERNOON. THEN THE SNOW WILL RETURN IN THE EVENING. TOMORROW THE COLD AIR. 17 DEGREES IN THE MORNING. And as for our temperatures, it will be 5pm at 8am, but it will probably feel more like five. IT WILL BE CLOSE TO 30°C IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON. STILL IN THE LOW 20’s C BUT THERE IS A WARM UP OVER THE WEEKEND. It will rain again on Saturday evening. All right, RANDI, THANKS and good to know. IN ORDER. As we look outside, some of the snow is falling. THIS IS 74 ON WESSELMAN DRIVE AND AGAIN YOU CAN SEE THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A SNOW GLOBE. LOOKS PRETTY. Just make sure you give yourself something

Here comes the winter weather again! There was an inch of snow at CVG Airport overnight. Everything melted on the sidewalk. Another round begins after sunset Wednesday evening, with a better chance of staying on some elevated roads this evening. It will be cloudy, cold and windy all day, with highs around 38 degrees. After 5:00 p.m. a second layer of snow will be added. This is more isolated, but as the sun went down we could see that some spots had dust. Observe elevated surfaces late in the evening. The big headline for Thursday is “cold!” We’ll dip into the teens, but Thursday morning will feel like it will be somewhere between 2 and 5°. The high on Thursday will be 30°C, with an afternoon wind closer to 20°C. We will see rapid warming this weekend, with rain late Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
