Tonight is the first game against the Montreal Canadiens – a true showcase of what the Atlantic Division has to offer. The series begins in Detroit and then heads to Montreal tomorrow night.

Simon Edvinsson will not suit up for the Wings this weekend after suffering an injury against Philadelphia. That makes the prospect of a three-game winning streak a little more difficult! The Red Wings announced this afternoon that defenseman William Lagesson has been recalled from Grand Rapids to provide some depth.

Detroit’s goalies are finally healthy. Cam Talbot will start tonight.
