“Glen Powell Is Obscured in ‘Chad Powers’ Teaser Trailer”

Glen Powell goes undercover in the first teaser trailer for Hulu’s Chad Powers.

The Everyone but you Star portrays quarterback Russ Holliday, who disguises himself as a fictional character and joins a struggling football team in the South after bad behavior ruins his college career.

“I’m in for something,” he says in the teaser, which shows him joining the team after donning a wig to change his appearance. “Something big.”

The comedy series is based on an episode of ESPN+ Eli’s placesin which former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning was undercover as a walk-on prospect named Chad Powers at Penn State. In addition to starring in the series, Powell also co-created and executive produced the series Lokiis Michael Waldron.

The short teaser gave a first individual look at the upcoming project and also gave a two-minute preview of the Hulu and Disney+ list released in November.

Powell and Waldron issued a joint statement as Chad Powers was announced in February. “We’re both die-hard college football fans,” they said. “When we saw Eli as Chad Powers, we knew this was the path to a big, entertaining story about this world. We’re excited to be part of this team and can’t wait to bring Chad into the game. Think fast, run fast.”

The Twister The star briefly opened up about his experience playing Chad Powers Ted LassoHulu-style comedy series produced by Eli and Payton Manning. He told The Hollywood Reporter In a cover story published in May, he said the role was one of the most difficult he had ever attempted.

He teased, “He’s like the baddest guy on the planet putting on the mask of the friendliest Southerner you’ve ever seen.”
