Hulu has released the first teaser trailer for its new half-hour sports comedy “Chad Powers,” starring Glen Powell, who also serves as co-creator alongside Michael Waldron. The series will be executive produced by Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning through his Omaha Productions banner and is scheduled to premiere in fall 2025.

The series follows Powell as Russ Holliday, a former NFL college quarterback who, after making some behavioral mistakes, gets his career into high gear. In a desperate attempt at a comeback, “he disguises himself and enters a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers,” according to an official description.

The 14-second teaser features Powell as both Holliday and Powers, offering a glimpse of the exaggerated prosthetics as well as Powell’s on-field abilities. “I’m in for something,” says Powell as Holliday in the teaser. “Something big.”

The series is based on a 2022 sketch produced by Omaha Productions and ESPN+ in which Peyton Manning’s brother, NFL quarterback Eli Manning, dresses up and attends tryouts for the Penn State football team.

Other cast members include Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.

Executive producers include Eli Manning and Jamie Horowitz of Omaha Productions, Ben Brown and ESPN. Waldron and Adam Fasullo are executive producers for Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe will serve as executive producer and Tony Yacenda will serve as director and executive producer. Powell also serves as an executive producer under his production co-banner Barnstorm Productions.
